With Super Bowl XL about to hit Detroit in February 2006, the anticipation of what will unravel will surely keep the city excited as we enter the New Year. But another event will take place during the week of the Super Bowl that is sure to create quite the buzz.

Wedded to the Game: The Real Lives of NFL Women will be formally introduced to NFL stars and the media prior to the Super Bowl at a special kick-off event. Planned for Thursday, February 2, 2006, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester, MI, the event will feature a brief presentation from Shannon and will be attended by several NFL players and their spouses. Many of the women in attendance played an important role in the development of the book through the inclusion of their personal stories.

Attending the book launch will include several stars of the game and their spouses, including Jackie and Jerry Rice, Danielle and Bryan Thomas, Kim and Tim Ruddy among others . The event is closed to the public and is intended for event sponsors and the media to learn more about the book while discussing the content with the players and the wives who make the NFL what it is.
